I'm Joe, the gardener behind The Willing Weeder. Here's what I collect through this website and why.
Messages and quote requests
When you fill in the quote form, I collect your name, email address, postcode and anything you choose to tell me (including your phone number and details about your garden). I use this only to reply to you, arrange a visit and give you a quote. I won't use it for marketing or share it with anyone else.
The form is sent to me by email through Cloudflare, who also host this website. I keep your message only for as long as I need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows.
Website analytics
To understand how people use the site, I use two analytics tools:
- Ahrefs Web Analytics, which gives me anonymous visit statistics without using cookies.
- Google Analytics 4, which collects information such as the pages you view, roughly where you are, and the device and browser you use. It may set cookies in your browser, so it only runs if you accept analytics on the cookie banner.
None of this tells me who you are. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of the homepage, or install Google's opt-out add-on.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you at any time by emailing hello@thewillingweeder.com. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
